Photographer: Peter Nixon

We're about image making in all its forms

You don’t need expensive equipment to join Bungay Camera Club.  You can take your photographs on a phone, a point-and-shoot camera, a DSLR or any other type of photography device.  All you need is an enthusiasm for making images, for sharing and discussing them with others, and for improving your own photography skills (with our help, if you need it).

Our members range from teenagers to retired seniors.  We all share our enjoyment of image composition, cameracraft, computer techniques and going head-to-head in a few fun competitions!
We're a friendly bunch, always ready to welcome new members to the club, and we have a "try before you buy" policy.
You can attend two meetings free of charge before you decide to join us (for a very modest membership fee).  If you'd like to come along and meet us, please use our CONTACT page on this website to let us know beforehand.  You'll be very welcome.

We meet twice a month at Broome Village Hall.  You can find all the details of how we operate on our ABOUT page.

Congratulations to Peter Nixon, winner of the Albert Thwaites Trophy for the best image of 2018, as voted for by club members.

Peter's beautiful photograph, titled "The Sentinal", also won the club's competition on the theme "Red" in August 2018.

2018 Annual Competition

Our Annual Competition awards evening was the culmination of the club's year, with over 200 images submitted in 6 categories.  The judge who bravely undertook this mammoth adjudication was Derek Leak DPAGB BPA3*.

To the delight of all members, the winner of the Colour Portfolio category was the club's youngest member, Joshua Finch, seen above being presented with his trophy by Derek Leak.
